Re: Crafting: Item materiel and beta

The downsides of using metal are generally as follows: 1) there are a handful of augments and specialities that allow an enemy to target metal objects/armour/etc to deal extra damage; 2) Yes, it should make the PCs a bit louder if they're all wearing solid metal; 3) Some powerful spirit abilities (l...

Pets and Predators Trouble

Hey, anyone else out there playing with the new Pets and Predators supplement? For once, I think I've managed to confuse myself with regard to the new mechanics it introduces (which is problematic, since the book otherwise provides some intriguing templates for easily building beast-like encounters)...

Re: Task difficulty and success

I looked over pg.271 for you, and it seems to just be outlining an idea akin to 'DC' in a system like D&D or Pathfinder. Basically the book is just trying to remind you that as your characters level up, they're probably going to need bigger and more heroic challenges befitting of their eternally...

Re: Redundant Steamer Augments?

Wow! Thanks for the clarification, Daniel, that's actually not what I was expecting, but I think my players may love you for that ruling. :P Ah well, maybe I'll use that trick to spice up some of my own enemy-character automatons too.

Redundant Steamer Augments?

All right gents, I've got a question for ya. I was looking through the page on steamers the other day and noticed what appears to be a redundant pair of augments: Reinforced Boiler and Resilient Boiler. Both have the same effect on the automaton (+10 wounds per tier), and even have remarkably simila...

Re: Let's Talk About Tokens

You know, the funny thing is the core rule book my group uses is actually a hard copy, not a pdf. I swear we're the only losers still using physical books these days. But that does make it a bit more difficult to 'borrow' pictures from it. I've tried just straight searches for Tephra-related images,...

Let's Talk About Tokens

Hey community, my group prefers to play with maps and grids in our d20 campaigns, and I've been trying to make it work with Tephra. So, as a result, I've spent the past weekend scouring the internet yet again in a desperate attempt to find suitable images to use as tokens for the various PCs and NPC...
